I grew up in Belgium within a family of gardeners. When my husband's job brought us to Georgia I found myself amazed by the vast amounts of nature and many different native plants. I started devouring plant information and gardening books to learn what I observed on walks. I figured out where I could learn more and became a GA Master Naturalist. Meanwhile my gardening gradually expanded from a few pots on a patio to puttering in the garden I tend to today.
My garden offers shade garden, woodland and perennial areas. I am a big believer in a balanced garden and prefer native plants to benefit the eco system. Every walk through the garden brings a new observation about insects, birds, plants and how we interact with all of them.... The sunny perennial area was my first focus to turn it into a stellar pollinator garden with year round interest. This patch changes color depending on the season and what is in bloom. It contains many native plants and several host plants for the Monarch butterfly, the gulf fritillary, Zebra Long wing to name a few.
To bring some of this outdoor beauty into the house and leave plenty for the bees and the butterflies, I started a cutting garden to enjoy the blooms that grow from the seeds I sow earlier in the year. I grow my flowers in the most sustainable and local way possible, environmentally friendly and pesticide free!
I love these wonderful blooms of the cutting garden as they seem to like to share the lush and unique blooms with me. In return I wish to share the abundance of my garden with you in a sustainable way.

I love my garden! One of my happiest childhood memories is skipping along the lush flowering rows in my grandmother's ever changing perennial garden. Every couple of skips I had to stop and smell an enticing bloom, sometimes touch an interesting leaf. If grandma caught up with me, she would show me how to cut and help me pick a bunch of vibrant blooms to bring home.
Enjoy a walk through the garden!
